Stress

Stress is a very over-used word in society, though when someone is “stressed” it can be an extremely debilitating experience. Excessive stress may cause somatic problems, e.g. sleep disturbance; headache; stomach upset; rapid heart rate; frequent urination; breathlessness; muscle tension & tightness, particularly in the neck & back.

Some causes of stress include:
Trying to manage a work/life balance.
Coping with overwork.
Being unhappy in the workplace.
Financial worries.
Unemployment.
Illness.
Managing a dependent adult or child.
Examinations.

Some level of stress is needed for each of us to perform normal daily tasks; it’s when stress becomes overwhelming that we need to find & then address the cause of the problem.

Claire works with individuals to identify those areas in their life causing excessive stress. She helps the client identify ways in which to address & manage this stress.
